Sports are another area of Minneapolis that will be worth your time to look into. The NFL’s Minnesota Vikings can be seen playing at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, one of the most versatile sporting arenas in the nation. In addition, you can catch a Minnesota Twins baseball game at Target Field or a Minnesota Timberwolves or Minnesota Lynx game at the Target Center.

In addition to sports and outdoors, Minneapolis also has a lot to offer residents in the area of the arts. Minneapolis is second only to New York in terms of live theater per capita. Notable theater companies in the area include Mixed Blood, Mu Performing Arts, Skewed Visions, and the Children’s Theater Company.  Minneapolis is also host to the Minnesota Fringe Festival a large theater festival that you may want to visit. The Hennepin Center for the Arts is a group of four theaters, for you to enjoy.  There are also art museums to visit, the largest of which is the Minneapolis Institute of Art. The Walker Art Center features the fifteen-acre Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.  Minneapolis is also home to popular music venues such as First avenue and Seventh Street Entry and the Minnesota Orchestra can be seen at Orchestra Hall.
